Who is the programme for ?
The BTEC HNC in Production Engineering is a part-time day and evening programme designed for students who have completed a BTEC National Certificate in Engineering or have relevant experience in the engineering industry. What does the programme include ?
Delivery of the programme is by means of formal lectures, tutorials and assignment-based learning. What attendance is required ? This is a two-year programme with attendance one day a week from 9am-9pm. Learning and assessment You will be assessed by a range of methods, which may include assignments, projects, case studies and practical exercises. What qualifications will be achieved ? You can achieve a Higher National Certificate (HNC). What is required to join the programme ? You should have either: A National Certificate or Diploma in a relevant subject, or qualifications and experience, which are considered to give a reasonable chance of success on the programme. What can be achieved after the programme ? At the end of the programme you will have a Higher National Certificate in Engineering, which equips you for a choice of interesting and worthwhile careers as senior technicians, production engineers, computer aided designers and project engineers. |
